| What's involved in AFF Course? The AFF skydiving course is the quickest and most advanced way to learn to skydive. The course involves a day of ground training where you will learn about the equipment and how to fly your body in freefall, followed by 9 stages (9 training jumps.) On your first jump you will exit the plane at 10,000 ft, accompanied by two instructors for the free fall down to 4,000 ft, where you will open your parachute. You will enjoy the magic of flying your own parachute down to the ground with guidance from the ground crew. From your 4th jump on you will be accompanied with only one instructor and the last jump of the course you will do on your own. Total number of jumps in this course is 9, provided you don't have to repeat any of the 9 stages. (This can happen if you fail to perform the minimum required manouvers for each stage.) The course usually takes about a week of your time if you do it full time, or you can do it over 3 or 4 weekends. After the course you can opt to go for your A-license. This license is recognized internationally, although in some countries you may have to demonstrate your skill in two or three evaluation jumps. To get it you have to learn how to pack your own parachute and how to land within designated area. For more detailed description of the AFF Course click here. |
